Chardonné Paynter was born in Bermuda on June 8th 1987 to Darren Perry and Oneka Trott (Paynter). Born and raised in Bermuda. As a child she was always in a creative environment Having; her mother being a Bar tender by day and a dancer for the ‘Greg Thompson’s Follies’ by night. Chardonné often accompanied her mom to her late night performances. Entranced by the glitz and glam of show business Chardonné followed in her mother’s footsteps and took an interest in the arts. She began dancing at the Somerset school of dance at the age of 5 and United Dance Productions at the age of 15. Having a natural ability for dance she eventually was invited to join the Junior Company at UDP.

Throughout high school Chardonné was actively involved in many theatre and dance performances; Including Her training being mostly in Ballet and Jazz style dance. She performed in the off-off Broadway performance at Saltus Grammar in the production of ‘Evita’ and held full scholarships at two of the most prestigious dance schools in Bermuda; ‘The Somerset school of Dance’ and ‘United Dance Productions’ where she excelled in Modern and Ballet disciplines. She performed in several theatrical performances and recitals including the Bermuda Civic Ballet under the direction of David Drummond as well as a summer collaborative performance with Duke Ellington and United Dance Productions.

In her Junior Year at Florida A&M University Chardonne decided to try out acting and took an elective class “acting for the camera” under the instruction of Marci J. Stringer; this was when she fell in love and decided to take acting seriously. Chardonne continues to travel internationally to take acting classes and has taken many workshops by recognized casting directors such as Wendy McKenzies ‘In the wink of an eye’ workshop.

Chardonné moved to New York in the summer of 2014 to attend New York Film Academy to take acting classes as well as act in and several television Productions such as Marvel’s Luke Cage, “Tru TV’s Hack My Life”, Oxygen’s “My Crazy love”, as well as a lead role in Vampire Escorts.
